Renewable Heating
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RNI) was launched by the government in 2011, to encourage and help non-domestic organisations like businesses and public sector, including churches and church buildings. The scheme works by incentivising those who generate and use renewable energy to heat their buildings.
This Government leads scheme has been designed to make the link between the cost of fossil fuel powered heating systems and renewable heating alternatives through financial support for the building or business owners.
The Church Heating Specialists are fully versed on the scheme, and can offer expert advice, as well as access to church heating interest free payment plans and other incentives. We also design, supply and fit renewable heating systems.
There are many ways in which you can sustain renewable energy in your church, here are some of the services we provide:
- Heat Pumps
The RHI will work in a similar way to the Feed-in-Tariff for Solar PV and will pay owners of air source heat pumps 7.3p per kilowatt hour of renewable heat generated and owners of ground source heat pumps 18.8p per kilowatt hour.
This means that you could potentially receive almost £20,000 over the 7 year payment period of the RHI for installing a ground source heat pump. There are also many other monetary benefits to installing renewable heating systems. To find out more, call the experts on 0161 211 6955 now.
