London church gets new heating system and saves £4,000 per year
The Challange
Barkingside church contacted Church Heating Specialists with the challenge of making their existing church heating system work for them. The church was extremely busy with daily and nightly functions and events, causing them to put the entire heating system on to sometimes heat small areas. Church Heating Specialist engineers attended church and got a plan of the church rooms and their block bookings, to work out a heating system that would reduce running cost and only heat the areas needed. The existing church boilers had come to the end of there life and needed a replacement along with an old water heater.
The Solution
The plan was to split the church heating system into 5 zones allowing independent heating of all the required area and to provide a new hot water cylinder giving free hot water during the heating season. The church heating system was changed and replaced in 14 days and none of the bookings needed to cancel as all works were done during a night shift. This allowed the church to keep its revenue and also get their much-needed heating system upgrade in the church. The church boilers were changed for new condensing boilers and made a big reduction in running cost alone, added to the fact the church could now heat areas they require the church is saving around £4,000 per year on gas consumption.
