New Maldon United Reformed Church, London

New Maldon United Reform Church in London have undergone a major refurbishment in the worship area, with everything from the floors re-done to new plaster and paint works. Part of the church re-development project was to install a brand new 3 zone heating system that could get the church up to temperature in under a 2 hour warm up time.

Our church heating engineers arranged a visit with the church pastor and architect to discuss the options. A proposal was drawn up with calculations for back up to demonstrate what was possible, and that the church’s heating goals were achievable.

Happy with the proposal, work began straight away. The existing floor standing church boiler was removed along with all the church pipes. The old heating pipes were Victorian 4” cast pipes, which needed to be drained down and removed from the site. Once all the old church heating system components had been removed, a brand new state-of-the-art wall hung condensing boiler was installed with all new piping and controls. The new pipes were laid in the new floor channel to feed new high output radiators, located in various positions around the church. New high output radiators were installed to provide the correct balance and heat output in all of the required zones. A new fabric protection control system was installed along with a new 3 zone tamper proof control.

All works was completed in just 5 days allowing the church building schedule to not over run.

Pastor P Flint – “I did not think the works of this size would be possible to install in just 5 days. The results and looks are fantastic. Thank you all”
