St. Botolph Church, Slapton, Northampton

St Botolph Church in Northampton was having issues with their current fabric due to the existing infrared church heating system. There local architect was contacted to come up with various different heating designs to solve the issue the church was having. The current infrared heaters was incorrectly positioned and was to powerful causing the dry heat to flake away the wall paintings.

The new heating design was to inc low level back pew heaters by cool touch units to provide low level heaters at a minimal running cost. The church also wanted to install all new plug sockets to provide extra power and when required new heaters can be purchased and plugged in. The fabric of the church was so badly damaged that all new cable supplies needed to be run in new galvanised steal tubes and connected to a new consumer power supply. The current solid floors was diamond cut and filled afterwards to allow for the new power supply. A total of 8 cool touch 500w heaters was installed in just 3 days to ensure the church didn’t miss any Sunday service.

PCC member Linda “ we thought the job would take 5-7 days and we would be left with a church that would require a full clean. Your guys worked so hard, long hours and left our church spotless. Big thanks to all involved”
