St. Clements Church, Spotland, Rochdale, Manchester

St Clements Church in Rochdale, Greater Manchester had an old Drugasar heating system which was shut off and was needed different options regards a new church heating system

The church contacted their local heating advisor at the Diocese who put together a scheme to install new radiators, pipe work and church boilers that would be suitable for their requirements. The system was designed to replace all the old heaters and the old flue holes needed to be patched up with matching stone work. Once all the old system was removed the plan was to start on the balcony area by installing a new boiler connected to fin coils which would run down each side of the church and along the entrance area. This will provide much needed heat in this area and can be controlled independent from the rest of the system.

The main worship area required all new radiators and pipe work as per the new design and to have the radiators powder coated to match any existing plastered and panel walls. The new boiler was to run along side the community area boiler and be installed in the same position. All new pumps, controls and pipe works were installed in the 5 week time frame and left with a perfect running heating system that will last for decades to come.
