St. James Church Hall, Bradford, Leeds

St Jame’s Church in Bradford, Leeds, had recently been awarded a grant to bring there church hall up to standards to better suit the community. After completing the a nearby church in Golcar some years back, the vicar in charge knew our standard of work and insisted that we quoted on his new church project.

The existing heating system used old gas heaters and was extremely costly to run and maintain, and didn’t suit the requirements of the building and it’s activities. The church wanted a split zone heating system to allow the new hall to be heated independently from the new café area. An important consideration was to make heating system child proof, so it was decided to recess all the heating pipes in boxing and cavity walls to prevent damage and people burning themselves.

The new radiators are fan assisted Caspian units, giving a cool case front while ensuring there was no cold spots in the large hall. A new boiler was installed in a back store room along with all new filters and gas supply.

The entire church heating project took just 5 days to complete, and works exactly as required, meeting all of the pre-requisites.

Vicar in charge: Harry – “Thanks once again for another great heating system, Nice to see all the same engineers again”
