St Peters Church, Staffordshire

The Challange

St. Peter’s Church in Staffordshire contacted the church heating specialist with the task to provide an efficient heating system that would not disrupt the main church. The church boiler was an old natural gas fired boiler that over time had various parts and repairs made to the system. The church boiler had high running cost and the overall heat output from the existing cast pipes was poor.

The Solution

The overall system was in good condition so the decision was made to replace the existing church boiler for a more modern condensing boiler along with the correct size circulation pumps and added filter system. The main church was heated via 4” cast pipes running along the side walls of the church and in the Nave trench so these was carefully flushed through stage by stage ensuring the joints was not disturbed.

Once most of the black sludge had been removed from the church system chemicals began to be put into the church pipes to break down any leftover sludge and dirt build up. This could slow down the warm up time. Once the church system water began to run clear it was then time to run the new church boiler and controls.

The new church heating controls now allows the church members to safely put in fresh chemicals as and when they require ensuring the church heating system stays working to its full capacity. The overall works only took 5 days and the overall result was a massive improvement.   Our Church Power Flushing services are very cost effective, and can help your church achieve a more efficient heating system.

Feedback

Cath Owen (church warden) “Many thanks to all your engineers for doing such a fantastic job. We all cannot believe how much heat we are getting from the same church system, Its like we have had a full church heating system installed. Thanks again for your expertise and knowledge”.
