St Margaret’s Church in Wolstanton felt the cold last winter when their heating system catastrophically failed on Christmas Eve.  Now the congregation are hosting a series of events to try and raise the money needed to fund the urgent church heating repairs, and a system upgrade.Services have seen a dramatic drop in attendance, as many of the parishioners are elderly, and because it has been so unbearable cold, it wasn’t safe for them to attend.  It goes without saying, but once the church heating is repaired, attendance is expected to increase.

Things are looking up, and the people of Wolstanton have shown their support with fund-raising efforts such as coffee mornings and other events.  There is a great sense of community spirit at St. Margaret’s, and everyone wants to ensure that the church doesn’t have to close.

We hope they raise the £10,000 they need!
