Another great city located in in the South East of England, forming part of Hertfordshire. This scenic and leafy suburb was a market town, with rich heritage and plenty of history.  St Albans is best known for its stunning church – The Saint Albans Abbey Church, which stands proud in the medieval town, which is actually now a cathedral.  The church is lovingly referred to locally as ‘The Abbey’. Also noted for its early 15th century Clock Tower, St Albans is a popular tourist attraction and lies in the commuter route to London.

Saint Albans also has political significance, with the first draft of the Magna Carter being written there.  St Albans was officially given the title of a city in 1877, and Pope Adrian IV was educated there.  Located near Luton, St Albans also has a strong industrial past, which was mainly focussed on hat making.
