Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Ripon is a Cathedral City set on the River Ure.  Special notoriety is given to the city because of his historically significant Cathedral which encompasses some of the most impressive architecture in the region.  Ripon is one of the smallest cities in the UK, with a population of just over 16,000 people.  It is also a popular tourist destination, but the city its self is only around 1500 years old.  In historical terms, it’s a fairly new settlement.
