Sheffield, in the county of Yorkshire, is a metropolitan borough which lies on the River Sheaf.  Located to the North of Nottingham, Sheffield started life as an industrial town, Sheffield has grown to one of the most well-known cities in the UK and has 2 formidable universities, including Sheffield Hallam.  Much of the architecture in Sheffield is of Gothic origin, and this is particularly prevalent in the designs of the churches dotted throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Originally a parish church, work on Sheffield Cathedral was first started in the year 1200 AD.  It has since had continuous work to keep it running and serving as an active church.  Although we haven’t worked on the heating system of the cathedral itself, we have fitted, maintained and repaired heating systems to churches in the area.
