The church has only been around since the 1960’s, but it is a well loved and cherished building within the community, so there is controversy surrounding the decision,  Planning officers have put forward a recommendation to proceed with the demolition, whilst the opposing town council say that it will cause a lot of disturbance. The demolition of such a building will take many weeks, and will cause a lot of noise pollution, as well as increased plant traffic through the area.

The reason for the demolition is due to the dilapidated state of the building, the church heating system was too costly to replace, as it had failed a number of years ago, and the maintenance and upkeep was not adequate enough.  To make sure your church building doesn’t fall into disrepair, you should always maintain your church heating, and with monthly and annual contracts from the church heating specialist, it can be a lot cheaper than you think.
