It’s been nearly four centuries since King Charles First coronation, and the world has changed a lot since then. However, one thing that remains the same is the need for warmth and comfort, even during grand occasions like a King’s coronation.
With King Charles III set to ascend to the throne at his coronation this Saturday, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding this huge occasion. As a leading installer of church heating systems we are particularly interested in the church heating system that will be used in the church. While it may not be as glamorous as the crown jewels or the royal processions, the heating system plays a crucial role in ensuring that everyone stays cozy and comfortable during the ceremony.
Such large buildings need to be heated effectively, large building heating costs, loss of heat retention and up to date church heating boiler servicing is paramount to saving huge amounts of money. The Westminster Abbey heating system is amazingly effective, run through a building management system within the heating and boiler room the system utilises the ventilation of the building to circulate a constant heat of 20 degrees celsius.
One can only imagine how far heating technology will have moved on at young King George’s coronation! Will we see radiant heating or geothermal systems used in Westminster Abbey in future? Or will the young royals opt for a more eco-friendly option like solar panels?
Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure – hope that King Charles III is not shivering on his big day this Saturday. After all, it would be a real shame if the highlight of the ceremony was watching the attendees shivering in their seats!
Congratulations to our new King Charles III from all of the team at Church Heating Systems
