Newcastle is a hugely popular tourist city in the North East of England.  It is well recognised for its Angel of the North statue, which proudly stands to overlook the city.  Newcastle sits on the River Tyne, and is a large city which grew on the strength of the industrial revolution, and is still a central hub for import and export for the UK.  Newcastle’s main production was for coal and used to be one of the biggest exporters in the UK.

Newcastle is a cultured and popular city, its synonymous with stag and hen parties. Many famous faces have come from Newcastle, including Sting, Rowan Atkinson and Cheryl Cole.  The nightlife industry is one of the more lucrative businesses in Newcastle, due to its 2 universities in close proximity to the city centre, as well as a relatively young population.

Newcastle has an impressive total of 3 cathedrals, which are the Anglican St. Nicholas, St. Mary’s and the Coptic Cathedral which is in Fenham.  All of the cathedrals started life as parish churches.  Newcastle is also known as being a very cold region, as its quite close to Scotland, so our clients understand the importance of keeping their church heating systems in check.
