Wales Church raising funds for new heating

St. Mary’s Church in Carew, Tenby, Wales has managed to successfully secure a heritage grant of nearly £90,000 to help repair the roof, structural work and of course a new church heating system. The rain water drainage systems requires attention, but because of the huge 100ft tower it is by no means an easy feat.

The church has opted for under pew heaters, by far the most efficient way to create directional heat, and works especially well in large open church halls.

Unfortunately the grant they have been awarded is not enough, they need to raise an additional £20,000 to reach their target. There are a number of events in the planning this year to bring the community together and hopefully secure the remaining funds, including a quiz night, a bingo night and even a concert!

We wish the parish and the community all the best of luck in raising the funds and urge anyone interested in helping the church to contact them to make a donation or just assist in any way they can.
