With an influx of poverty across the United Kingdom, many Churches are taking on their own behalf to help provide for low-income families with meals and support for free.

The issue lies now that with increased living costs, not only do the churches find it a hard task to provide for the thousands of low-income homes, they also have their own troubles to tackle such as the increased energy cost and keeping their church warm with the increasingly high prices of heating.

With the inflation set to continue to rise, this will continue to push more low-income homes into poverty and also those already struggling, into deep poverty. Where complete reliance on those who can help such as churches is essential.

But how long can churches last with providing for those in need?

An example of support would be in Scotland, a church that provides school uniforms, water bottles, blankets and food for families who require them.

In the last few months, over 100 families have been provided with heating measures such as blankets as they struggle to pay the heating costs.

But now, how do churches cope with this as no support is to be seen?

Take a look at some of our recent articles below on how you can improve the efficiency of your church heating, lower monthly bills and tackle the increased costs of living.
